This was the unofficial end of Skyhouse shows. John Bohannon moved to NYC shortly after. I don’t even remember who played. But I do remember that we ended our set with a crappy remix of Lady Gaga’s “Disco Stick.” I also remember that both Brian Miles and Tommy Stangroom danced wildly to that crappy remix.
Unfortunately, this video does not share that dancing.
This show nearly finished up an awesome summer of multiple shows, both in and out of town with our friends Ancient Ocean and Arclyte. This is from our split 12” release show. Dylan Simon also played with us.
This was our first and I think our only show at Dino’s. This was also the first show that Chris Davis booked us for. We played with The Ultimate Vag featuring Chris Grier and Scott Verrastro. Two words….Yankee Burger.
Crashing UFOs (into the Grand Canyon) was a song we loved to open and close shows with because we thought it sounded exactly like it’s title. We opened this show with it. Upon posting this, I kinda regret selling the drum machine used for that industrial sounding kick at the end of this clip. sooo kmfdm.
This was from one of very first, if not the first, Skyhouse show in East Nashville. Also on the gig were Hollow Ox, Pineapple Explode and Ancient Ocean. It was the beginning of a very exciting 2009.
This was a really special show. Dylan Simon and Charlie Rauh used to put together “Nashville Fringe” shows at the Basement showcasing Nashville psych and avant-garde. This was the one that we played. Our friend Casey Eagan Minshall joined us on viola. She also played on our split 12”.
LOOK AT ALL THOSE LIGHTS! This was at 12th and Porter. Very weird gig. We played with our friends Hollow Ox, D Numbers from New Mexico?, and This is Art. We haven’t been back to 12th and Porter since.
This was also from the Heathern Haints record release show. This set was a sketch that later went onto be our split 12” recording.
This was from the Heathern Haints record release show. I believe Taiwan Deth played as well. This was my first show with my Epiphone. Jimmy still had long hair.
Hey Friends!
Jimmy and I thought it might be a good idea to share video clips of old shows. Upon digging through an old harddrive, I found about 100 clips. I’ve uploaded 10 to vimeo so far. Enjoy.
